because. we are men.

2nd Annual Bachelory-Party Palm-Fest Man-Springs Weekend-Getaway.

Andy C. knocked up his old-lady.

so, chalk one up for the Silent Assassin, and let's go to Palm Springs.

we always knew he had it in him.

because he's a man.

and that's what men do.

can't wait for Baby Andy to meet all Andy's weird friends.

Baby Andy is gonna have a lot of strange uncle's.

Uncle Teardrops gets a little violent on the croquet field.

manly men.

The Butterfly takes a swan dive.

even Uncle Bob came down from the mountain.

it takes a lot of men to make a meal.

so, Congratulations Andy! we all (man)love you very much.

this train i'm on has saved my life...

much to the detriment of my social and personal life, i've spent nearly all of my time for the past few months toiling away at what i hope will be a new album. Anna Lee Ferry (ex-singer of Monsters Are Waiting) and i have teamed up and recorded some really great material. my dream band has always been to have two singers, boy/girl, switching off and sharing vocal duties... i think now is the time to make that dream come true. sending positive vibes to everybody out there, and thank you for all the kind words! i'll keep you posted as it progresses.

oh and yes, i have a twitter account now, though i can hardly bring myself to use it: @christiandstone

one man's desert is another man's paradise...

i haven't blogged in so long, that it took me a minute to remember what the HTML code was to get this thing to look right.

anyhow, there are a few reasons for the break:

a.) i have a pretty full life when i'm in LA... blogging was a lot easier when i had shitloads of free time on a tour bus, i've realized.

second off: i acquired a cyberstalker at some point in my travels and it scared the crap out of me a few months ago when i received a message saying this person was in LA, outside my house. luckily, they had an old address and nothing ever came of it. no idea how they got the address... so needless to say, i haven't been super stoked on the idea of blogging. it's quite possible that they'll read this. and there ain't shit i can do about it. but, hopefully, it's all blown over now and we can all get on with our internet lives. time will tell, i guess.

and third off: i've received a lot of messages from POM fans in the past couple of months. some wishing me the best, others prying for info. honestly though, i have no interest in talking about that subject.  i only want people to read this blog because they are genuinely interested in my life, my art and my thoughts. not for any other reason. i figured i'd wait awhile and let that shit die.

so... that's all for now. this is just to test the waters. more to come... and if that's not enough, chew on this jibberish  for awhile. if you can get through that, get back to me. i've got more where that came from.

drank from the ocean...

the merry goes round and round...

we have begun demoing for a new POM record.

it seems like yesterday that we were just finishing the last record.

there were lots of good sounds coming out of the speakers.

but my mind can't help but wonder...

what will it sound like when it's all done.

it never is how you expect it.

it's always different... usually better.

but always different.

exactly like life.

nerding out at the Nerdery...

i haven't been a very good blogger lately.

NAMM was the perfect opportunity to capture some amazing images of nerds in their natural habitat.

but i was a little distracted.

it's one thing to blog on the road, when you're bored and have nothing but time on your hands.

it's a whole different story when you are home and actually living life.

but i am going to recommit myself to it...

because in some strange way it helps me make sense of this weird life.

oh, and thank you to all the peeps at Gibson and Epiphone for being so generous and supportive. it was a great night..

it blow's my mind, but it's like that...

time for my annual cleaning out of the iPhoto. here's some good ones that didn't make it onto the blog...

hurry up and wait, in Iraq.

Angus would be proud.

Tamara and Doug, taking a bite out of the Big Apple.

Tyler Read, getting nakested.

touch football in Charlotte, shirts vs. skins.

Max from Eve 6 has more style in his little pinky nail than most people do in their whole body.

all rock stars call their mother's from tour... especially when they're seven.

tiny dancer..

i am ashamed and proud of this all at the same time.

Shanahan and company bringing some sanity to an insane situation.

Yerdon.

Ardito.

Skank.

zen.

there's no love like a mother's love.

YOU sit on a tour bus for 2 years and see what you come up with... the shit gets boring.

vibrational harmony.

pride and joy.

if what i knew now was what i knew then, i would still do it all over again...

Photobucket

New Years Eve found Ryan and me braving the Los Angeles nightlife.

Photobucket

bringin in the new year with a good ol'fashioned rock concert.

Photobucket

STP are good ol'fashioned Rock n Roll pros.

Photobucket

and they did not disappoint.

Photobucket

even Jordan Scantlin was in the house.

Photobucket

other than these two screaming "Wooooohooo!!" into my right ear every 10 seconds, it was a superb evening.

Photobucket

rather than get mad, i decided i was happy they were having a good time and befriended them. although, i'm sure they will not remember me.

Photobucket

i think next year i will insist that POM make it a point to do a New Years show.

Photobucket

next morning was Andrew Clark's annual New Years Day Brunch.

Photobucket

and, thanks to that guy in the turquois Indian kurti, it was also my 2 year sobriety birthday.

Photobucket

a sweet birthday surprise from a sweet girl..

Photobucket

Mimi knows my weaknesses: kombucha and chocolate.

Photobucket

Michael Angelos will say he hates his tattoos, but i think they are wonderful.

Photobucket

Andrew Clark making sure 2009 starts off nice and tidy.

Photobucket

1994 never looked so good.

Photobucket

Cleary and Geoff... keeping it gangster but sensitive.

Photobucket

brothers in arms.

love, reign over me...

Photobucket

X-mas Eve i went to Gabe's mommies and had dinner.

Photobucket

there were a lot of crazy little people there.

Photobucket

but that's ok...

Photobucket

because i am a crazy big person.

Photobucket

Jenny and her boyfriend Kasey made me feel right at home. thank you for that.

Photobucket

X-mas day Gabe and i went to help out my friend Reg, who organized a dinner for a homeless shelter for parents and their children.

Photobucket

it was an amazing day.

Photobucket

sometimes i think i'm the luckiest guy in the whle world, and other times...

Photobucket

i just know it.

been singing in my sleep...

no internet, no heat, and up til yesterday barely any furniture.. other than my guitars, a bed, and a few books. now that the furniture is here I'm lamenting the loss of a monk-like existence. possesions are over-rated. Robert Anton Wilson rules.
